Premiere Screening of The Intern

I don't think I will sound sane or normal in this blog post because I'm in heaps of excitement. The movie was so awesome I am so hyped about it even after a nice shower. If you have any senses at all you MUST WATCH THIS MOVIE!!

So so lucky to watch the movie 2 weeks before it premieres in Nuffnang Screening and even as their VIP! woohoo
This movie definitely scores itself a 9.5/10!! I would give it a 10 if I could but the movie's ending just falls flat by just a little.

This movie is basically about 3 words..
SENIOR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Take it literally because senior really means old people. Anyway, this movie was about Ben, played by Robert DeNiro as a retired man that has too much free time on his hand so he's decided to jump back to the working world as an intern in a startup company run by Jules, played by Anne Hathaway. Storyline wise I guess it's pretty predictable. I mean old man young boss... What else could possibly happen. Lol. But for any of you anticipating a love story, there was none between those 2. Unless Richard Gere were in it, then yea probably a love story would happen.

The movie is super inspiring in so many ways.

For starters, Ben doesn't even know what is an USB before he starts the job and his never stop learning attitude got him so far in the tech-savvy environment. Speaking of which, I love the company's vibe. Everyone is so energetic and creative, doesn't feel so brain dead all the time. Times like these I can't help but wonder what if I took up the job offer in Nuffnang, would I enjoy the pumped environment more? Guess I'll never know. But the movie does send a message about how so long you put your heart into it, nothing is ever too hard.

The other thing is the message that surrounds Jules's career. She brought the company forward so much that she executed 5 years worth of business plans in 9 months! Yet, she was considered incompetent to many. Her husband, her investors and even her mother. EVERYONE that matters to her BUT herself. She was so engrossed in trying to keep everyone happy, that she forgot to love herself and live the life that she loves.

This is so relatable to life. Many of us live life by measuring our accomplishments and success based on other people's measurements. But the fact is, someone out there is bound to have a word or two about what you've done. Someone is ready to put you down at any time just because well.. They can.

What entails success?

No one knows. Chances are, the one measuring your success himself is just almost as ordinary as anyone else. Judging people is very easy but for the person that's getting judge to keep her chin high, it's hard.

Jules was successful enough yet again.... Everyone disapproves her. What's truly keeping her happy is her job! It took her one huge round to find out that her life is the fullest when she's doing what she's passionate about. Of course Ben helped her in the process.. Obviously. What a reminder to all of us to live our life doing what we love. Not what others said.

On a less serious note,
The movie was hilarious!!!
I laughed so hard I'm sure my jawline can fit 2 rows of coins now. Hahahahha. There was jokes throughout the movies but not cheap jokes that's overly lame (very unlike Spy for comparison). Imagine Ben, a 70 year old man going for an internship interview and the talent acquisition was asking him...
"What do you see yourself doing in 10 years time?"
OH WHAT AN APPROPRIATE QUESTION TO ASK A 70 YEAR OLD MAN! LMAO

There's some 18sx jokes but they were merely very suggestive instead of *ahem* revealing. Lol

Anyway, the movie was GREAT! have never felt more relaxed or inspired or happy after watching a movie. It's such a great show to tune the night down.

Alright! That's all I have for my blog!

See this world again soon!
