Every now and then we just fall for that wonderfully advertised product that feels like THE BEST THING EVER ON EARTH. At first you thought, oh I really don't need it but then you go home and just think about it over and over again until one day you just cannot tahan anymore!
And bought that seemingly very awesome product.I recently fell prey to this marketing gimmick.
It started with me complaining all the time how the wind in KL is too strong even at 12pm that it made my umbrella turn inside out ALL THE TIME! It's super scary k when you're crossing a 4 lane traffic with all cars trying to murder you. I mean honestly! What's wrong with those people. You clearly saw a bunch of people trying to cross and suddenly we look like bowling pins? So yea.. When you're risking your life to cross the road and your umbrella overturns stopping you from walking forward, it's like come at me bowling ball! I am a pin dying to get knocked down!
Anyway, after like 3 months of non stop wind blowing and turning inside out moments, my umbrella died! It was those with Angry Birds okay! Cheap and cute! Since my umbrella died, I am thinking might as well I get those wind resisting once right! Practical needs ma!
I went to Uniqlo and saw this wind turn umbrella! The tag there says it will spin when the wind blows so I won't get thrown off when the wind blows? Lol. And the best part the umbrella is...
It's PINK!!!
Totally unable to resist after seeing the colour! It's only RM 39.90! Not THAT crazy expensive right? It sounds too good to be true. It spins, light and PINK?! Onz la!
Was happily bringing my umbrella to work and SO READY to let it spin k! Was hoping for crazily heavy rain so I can hop under the rain with my so cool umbrella. Then make that gleeful face smirking at other people with their overturned umbrella!

Okay la it DOES spin. When I use my hand to turn it does spin la wtf. The feature is there but not as promised. Tornado also it wouldn't spin. Then I was trying to convince myself hey maybe the feature is to prevent it from turning inside out!
ANOTHER RUBBISH.
When I hold it towards the wind, the umbrella will still turn inside out! While crossing the road too if I may add. But it happens wayyyy lesser than before la, And when I turn my wrist a little, it can resist the wind a little. BUT STILL! It is not as advertised for sure!
But it does look pretty
It actually makes it kinda value for money! Haha. I do wish it is more UV protective. The blazing sun will be the death of me for sure.

But really, it does feel like the most useless purchase EVER! Like come on I rather they label it as.. Beautiful pink umbrella or something. Lol. Ah well... It's a good concept though! Hopefully one day maybe... umbrellas can really spin! Haha
